Transport

Getting in and out of The River Club is difficult. Old Malden Lane is effectively a country lane that cannot take huge amounts of traffic.

Parking.

In order to make the club more sustainable we will be encouraging walking and cycling but for that to be viable a safe route is needed.

We are planning to create a new cycling and walking path that will join existing paths at Six Acre Meadow and join up with the Ewell by-pass at Tolworth Court Farm. The path will run alongside the club and the banks of the Hogsmill. This will complete the Hogsmill connection between Kingston, Berrylands, Old Malden and Tolworth and Ewell. This is not a simple task but we are working through the issues.

We also want to find new ways of creating a better access road from Old Malden Lane, across the Hogsmill River.

We are going to better lay out the car park and create a much more useable drop off and turning point in front of the new entrance to the club buildings.
